Mission Statement:
Association for Truth in Pet Food’s mission, in partnership with TruthaboutPetFood.com, is to change the future of pet food. We have a vision of honestly labeled pet foods, proper enforcement of law, and accountability for those that ignore or violate law (be that manufacturers or regulatory authorities). We hope for a future where consumers can trust their pet’s food. We will battle any foe that ignores the best interests of our pets. We battle for our pets.
This association is solely supported by pet food consumers. And we need your on-going support.
Advocacy
Representing the consumer voice with pet food regulatory authorities. The Food and Drug Association, the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) are the main objectives to have a consumer voice with. AAFCO hosts two meetings a year where pet food ingredient definitions and pet food regulations are developed. To learn more about AAFCO, Click Here.
Recognized as an official stakeholder organization by regulatory authorities. ATPF attends each AAFCO meeting, 2 meetings a year. Just to attend AAFCO meetings, we need to raise $4,000.00 a year in membership dues.

BUT – and this is important – This Association is ONLY for pet food consumers.
Representatives of pet food manufacturing, pet food ingredient manufacturing, or their respective trade associations, and regulatory representatives are not permitted to become a member of this association. No individual can join on behalf of the previously mentioned.
